A plain statement of what the figures on this site are, how far they can be relied upon, and what may be done with the material.
These terms cover an editorial publication. They are not a software agreement and grant no rights in any game discussed.Every session length published here was recorded by one person across at least twenty evenings in one household. Those are real measurements and they were taken as the method page describes, but they describe that player's evenings and not a universal property of the game.
A reader who plays faster, has fewer interruptions or simply enjoys a game more will produce different numbers. The figures are offered as evidence supporting an argument about design, not as specifications.
The score judges the game across the hours stated in the byline. The stop quality grade beside it judges what leaving costs, and the two are deliberately independent. A game may score well and still be an unwise choice at midnight; one review on this site is exactly that case, and the reverse also occurs.
Neither figure is advice about spending money, and neither predicts how any particular reader will get on with a game.
Every game discussed here belongs to its developers and publishers, and every trade name mentioned belongs to its owner. Their appearance in these pages is for identification and commentary, which is what reviewing consists of, and implies no association with or approval by anybody.
No game files, extracted assets or publisher materials are hosted here. All images on this site were produced for this publication.
Quote whatever an argument needs, with attribution and a link to the page quoted. The measurements in particular are published so that others can repeat them, and a reader who records twenty of their own evenings and reaches a different conclusion is using this material exactly as intended.
Republishing an entire review, or presenting this material as somebody else's work or as marketing copy for a game, is not permitted.
Mistakes are corrected in the text of the page concerned, with a note describing what changed. Nothing is deleted to make an earlier judgement look better.
Games also change. Where a patch alters a save system or a session structure, the affected figures are struck out and the game is measured again over twenty fresh evenings. Three games in this file have been through that process, and a figure that no longer matches the current build is the most likely source of legitimate disagreement with anything here.
These are static files on ordinary hosting. They may be unreachable from time to time, and no promise is made about uptime, the permanence of any particular address, or continued publication.
